Student Schedules

Students will receive their schedules in Homeroom on Freshman First Day. Schedules may also be accessed in Skyward.

Schedule corrections will be made on an extremely limited basis and for the following reasons ONLY.

  • Student has already received credit for the course
  • Student has not met the prerequisite for the course
  • Change course level:
    • On-level to Pre-AP (within the first week of school) or 
    • Pre-AP to On-level (at end of 1st six-weeks)
  • Program changes (Band, Orchestra, Sports)—Director / Coach approval required

Students needing a schedule correction for one of the reasons listed above must email their Counselor.

Please note that student schedules may also be changed due to class leveling or changes to the campus master schedule.

2026-2027 Course Selection Dates (subject to change)

January 20-21

  • Dobie 9 Counselors visit BHI & Thompson for course selection presentations.

January 22

  • 8th Grade Parent Night and Elective Fair
    • 5:00-6:30 at Dobie 9
    • Come-And-Go format
    • Meet Dobie HS staff to learn more about HS course options
    • Live Counselor Presentations @ 5:00, 5:30, and 6:00

January 26-27

Dobie 9 Counselors meet one-on-one with BHI 8th graders to choose 9th grade courses. Students should bring their Course Options handout with them.

January 29-30

Dobie 9 Counselors meet one-on-one with THOMPSON 8th graders to choose 9th grade courses. Students should bring their Course Options handout with them.

February 2

  • Students will watch a video during Homeroom with information about 10th grade course selection.
  • Students will receive a course options handout (linked below) to help them make their decisions.

February 9-11

  • Students will meet one-on-one with Dobie 9 Counselors to choose their courses for 10th grade.
